JUNE 7, 2021 - VICTORIA, BC (NEWS RELEASE) — Douglas magazine is proud to announce this year’s 10 to Watch winners, who represent the very best of Vancouver Island’s new businesses.
From identifying faulty infrastructure to ending period poverty and printing living human cells, these innovative companies have created unique and competitive businesses that stand out. The 10 to Watch winners were selected by an independent panel of judges that included local business leaders and representatives of the University of Victoria Peter B. Gustavson School of Business and Royal Roads University School of Business.
"These companies have weathered the storm and are coming out strong,” says Douglas Editor Carla Sorrell. “It hasn’t been an easy year for business and, during a time when we could not connect in person, the media’s role in shining a light on success stories has been more important than ever. We are thrilled to announce this year’s winners, whose unique values have been deep-set from the start and are foundational to the businesses that they have successfully built."
