Victoria, BC, September 6, 2016 -- Craftt is excited to announce the launch of the Great Canadian Beer Festival app on iOS and Android!
 

The GCBF app was designed and built in record time by the Craftt team. Taking it on as a pro bono project, Craftt’s developers created the app in an effort to help promote and support this fantastic event. The app is available for download through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
 

Hosted at the Royal Athletic Park in Victoria on September 9th and 10th, the 2016 edition of the Great Canadian Beer Festival will feature over 60 craft breweries and 2 cideries from across the country. The GCBF app has been designed to enhance the experience, allowing users to browse the vast variety of craft beverages available. Users can create a list of the brews they’re interested in trying or have tried and are able to save their favourites to easily access them when on the hunt at their local liquor stores.
 

In an effort to get more people connected with the amazing craft brewers and breweries that call Canada home, the GCBF app includes a list of all of the breweries, beers, and their respective booth locations during the event. Complete with descriptions about each beer’s style, hops varieties, alcohol percentage, and IBUs, users get a crash course in what will be available to sip on. The GCBF app also includes descriptions of each brewery and links to their websites and various social media channels so that users can stay connected with their favourite craft breweries and can continue to support the growing craft beer industry after the festival ends. The app also includes a Get Home Safe section for easy access to public transit schedules and taxi services, encouraging attendees to enjoy all that the festival has to offer responsibly.

Over 8,000 people are set to enjoy more than 20,000 litres of beer at this year’s festival. Breweries from across BC, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, and the Yukon will be present. The GCBF app will help users do their homework and come to the event prepared to enjoy some of Canada’s best craft beers and ciders.
