ONC is setting sail aboard the E/V Nautilus with the Ocean Exploration Trust, marking eight years of successful partnership!

From June 6th to 26th, follow the #ONCabyss Summer 2024 Expedition as the team conducts maintenance and scientific research at five sites within ONC’s 800km+ underwater seafloor cabled observatory NEPTUNE, located off the west coast of Vancouver Island.

Ocean enthusiasts around the globe can explore the aftermath of the March earthquake swarm at Endeavour and revisit the Clayoquot Slope whale fall through cameras mounted on the remotely operated vehicles (ROV) Hercules and Atalanta.

ROV dives and operations will be streamed live 24/7, allowing viewers to connect directly with the at-sea team through Ship2Shore programs, question submissions on NautilusLive.org, and social media interactions.
