In light of recent layoff news throughout the ecosystem, we wanted to remind everyone that the Talent HelpList is here to support talent that has been impacted by layoffs and also assist any founders who may be hiring.

For those of you not familiar with the Talent HelpList, it started as a community powered initiative to put impacted Canadian tech professionals in front of hiring companies when the pandemic hit in 2020. And the mission is still the same today.

Founders can use the Talent Help List in the following ways:

1. If founders are going through layoffs, they can use the Help List as a resource to share with their impacted employees to help gain future employment. Impacted employees can add a talent profile to the list to be seen by hiring managers.

2. If founders are hiring, they can reference the list to source talent that has recently been let go.

3. All talent that signs up for the Talent Help List will be directed to the National Work In Tech job board to highlight jobs in Canada’s tech ecosystem. Founders are able to apply to the job board here.
