UrbaCity Challenge: Game On!

An amazing quest is coming... The UrbaCity Challenge is Victoria’s downtown adventure race. 
On Sunday, September 23^rd, 2018, hundreds of racers will take on a gauntlet of unique Challenge Stations, all to benefit Island Prostate Centre.

One Day. Many Events.

After setting out from the Victoria Conference Centre pavilions, racers will use clues on their map to find Challenge Stations scattered across local business and public spaces. UrbaCity Challenge Stations are eclectic tests of physical fitness, brain power, and problem-solving. Each Challenge Station is a mystery until race day, so racers need to act fast to find and finish each station.

Depending on the Challenge Station, UrbaCity racers might need to get artistic, navigate a maze, crack a code, or piggy-back their partner!   

Choose Your Own Adventure: Teams of 2 or 4

Co-operation is the order of the day, as each UrbaCity Challenge Station requires teams to work together. Teams of two choose from the Fun or Fierce category, depending on how intense they like their race. Whether you want to dawdle or dash, UrbaCity is open to all fitness levels.

Local businesses compete in the four-person Corporate Face-Off category: a great way to build team spirit!

Supporting Island Prostate Centre

All charity dollars raised benefit the Island Prostate Centre, helping local men and their families on Vancouver Island. As a non-profit exclusively funded by donations, Island Prostate Centre relies on UrbaCity and other community partners to continue their vital work providing early detection, counselling, and care. In 2017, UrbaCity racers, sponsors, and donors raised over $62,000 for Island Prostate Centre. UrbaCity is looking to top that in 2018 with a goal of $70,000.

The more racers fundraise, the more perks they get: higher donations bring in bonus prize draws, time reductions, and the ability to skip particularly tricky stations. A financial commitment to charity can mean the difference between first and second place!
