UVic Explores Doctor of Engineering Program for Innovators
The Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science is exploring the creation of a new professional doctorate program.
The Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science at UVic is exploring the creation of a new professional doctorate program—the Doctor of Engineering degree (DEng). This innovative program aims to empower mid-career professionals in engineering and technology to become leaders and innovators in their fields.
Unlike traditional PhD programs, the DEng will be tailored for those already in the workforce, combining rigorous academic coursework with real-world application. This program is designed not only to advance individual careers but also to benefit employers through the potential generation of valuable intellectual property.
Are you working at a private or public organization in a field of engineering or high technology with a focus on management and R&D?
If so UVic would love to hear from you. Your insights are vital to help shape the program to meet the needs of industry professionals. Take a moment to complete this survey and help to ensure that the DEng program is relevant and impactful.
Feel free to share this survey with any in your network who may be involved with engineering research and development or may be interested in responding.
