Before the pandemic, the roundtable was also responsible for publishing a study of the size and impact of the local game design industry and hosting dedicated video game showcases at Discover Tectoria events over the years.

Now that pandemic restrictions no longer prevent in-person gatherings the gaming community is reigniting the group.

It has been a few years since the game development community got together on a regular basis through events organized by groups such as IGDA Victoria. We would like to kick off a new video game and media community group, composed not only of game developers, but all those working in interactive entertainment, including AR, VR, and yes, that new Metaverse thing.

The first event will be a casual meet & greet hosted at VIATEC on March 3, 2023 from 4-6pm, where we can gauge interest and ideas from the community. Drinks and small bites will be jointly sponsored by VIATEC and Hololabs, so come and join us for a happy hour to chat with fellow members of the community!
