International Women’s Day Special: Women in Tech
International Women’s Day Special: Women in Tech
Monday, March 8, 2021 (1:00 PM - 2:30 PM) (PST)
Description
In honour of International Women’s Day, we celebrate the contributions of women to science and tech historically, and into the present. We consider how changing ideas about gender are slowly creating more opportunities for women in tech, and what this suggests for the future of tech.
We've partnered with Leah Shumka, Manager of Sexualized Violence Education, Prevention and Support at the faculty of Equity and Human Rights, UVic to explore DEI in an interactive format with actionable next steps.
Please take the time to share your questions with us as part of the registration process so that we can make this session as applicable and actionable as possible.
We want to make this session as accessible as possible and continue this work in our community. All ticket sales directly fund the continuation of our DEI education offerings.
