Climate Tech User-Centred Design Workshop - Putting ‘7 Lighter Living Motivations’ to Work

Tuesday, November 29, 2022 (9:30 AM - 12:30 PM) (PST)

Description

User-Centred Design for Climate Tech

This user centred design and marketing strategy workshop is being piloted by community partners OneEarth Living, in collaboration with Circular Citizen and the Share Reuse Repair Initiative and sponsored by Vancity. At the center of the workshop agenda is the market segmentation - the ‘7 Motivations for Lighter Living Action in BC.’ Not everyone is motivated to make choices ‘for the planet.’ With this market insight framework, we can encourage more sustainable choices amongst more people by connecting with their diverse motivations.

What’s in it for you?

Through learning about the Motivations, you will improve your design & marketing strategies for 2023. You gain valuable strategic outcomes from this workshop:

  • Expand or refine understanding of your target audience;
  • Inform app/platform design or marketing that is more relevant to your existing customers and reaches new customers effectively;
  • Consider how your tech product or service offerings could evolve to tap into the diverse motivations that underlie people’s choices.
  • You will benefit from learning together with other businesses (in food & reuse as well as tech) committed to decarbonising, zero waste and helping people live “lighter.”
